Peel + Paint the STencil
the trick-iest part of the whole project – but you are in good hands! here are some tips and tricks for peeling + painting the stencil:
- make sure you have sanded your base – super important step!
- start with the stencil UPSIDE DOWN
- be patient and make sure all the blue pieces stay together!
- when peeling off the clear layer, make sure all blue pieces stay on your project!
- don’t forget to mod podge – its ready to paint when its not sticky
- DO NOT BLOW DRY YOUR STENCIL – EVER! AT ALL! BAD IDEA!!
- when painting, use thin light layers! we recommend 3 layers of paint for a crisp look
- if you are wanting a distressed look, 2 layers of paint should do!
